Kim Schneider Malek, the 2014 recipient of the FFI Barbara Hollander award for leadership in and educational commitment to family enterprise, is the founder and president of the Family Enterprise Continuity Alliance and Kischma Consulting. She is a family enterprise consultant, facilitator, adjunct faculty member, educational programming and workshop developer, and frequent global speaker on enterprising family issues such as succession, leadership, strategy, family dynamics and connection, communication, and resiliency. Clients include multi-generational enterprising and philanthropic families, family businesses, advisors, and organizations affecting, and affected by, family enterprise.

Kim is a second generation family enterprise advisor who has been active since 1997 in Schneider Consulting Group, Inc., a firm founded by her father and industry pioneer, Frank S. Schneider in 1987.

Kim, an adjunct graduate professor at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver since 2001 and a recipient of its Diamond Award for Teaching Excellence, has been in a variety of positions in both the site- and technology-based education and training fields since 1985. Kim, a Family Firm Institute Fellow, also has been on the faculty of the Global Education Network, served on the FFI Body of Knowledge Committee, and was the founding co-editor of the FFI The Practitioner.

Kim serves as secretary on the Governing Board of Collaboration for Family Flourishing and is a mentor for emerging leaders in the field. She lives in Denver with her husband, daughter and twin sons and has a medical foster son in Ethiopia.
